Food Concepts is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of IT Officer to support its technology systems, infrastructure and business operations.
Role Overview
The IT Officer will help design, analyse, implement and maintain effective information technology systems across the organisation. The successful candidate will provide technical support to restaurant locations, field offices and the head office while working with relevant stakeholders to identify technology needs and improve existing systems.
The role also involves resolving technical issues, coordinating IT projects, supporting system installations and gathering feedback from users to improve IT services and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure and Field Support
- Install, configure, maintain and repair IT hardware, software and related infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to restaurant locations, field offices and the head office.
- Support the installation and implementation of IT systems across business locations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and infrastructure problems and work towards prompt resolution.
- Help maintain the reliability and performance of the organisation's IT systems.
IT Systems Administration and Project Coordination
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their technology requirements.
- Develop and analyse functional specifications for IT solutions.
- Design and recommend efficient systems that meet business and technical needs.
- Coordinate developers and other relevant teams during the development and implementation of technology solutions.
- Integrate different systems and address the requirements of multiple departments.
- Gather feedback from end users to identify system issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Plan and oversee IT projects, including system upgrades and hardware or software installations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to users when required.
- Monitor developments in information technology and identify relevant improvements for the organisation.
Requirements
Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, software installation and technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyse system requirements and contribute to the implementation of effective technology solutions.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with different teams and support users across multiple locations.
- A proactive approach to resolving technical issues and improving system performance.
Additional Advantage
- Membership of Cisco or another relevant IT professional body.
- Relevant IT certifications or professional qualifications.
Key Performance Indicator
Performance in this role will be assessed partly on the prompt resolution of technical issues.
