Data Analysis and Insight Generation

• Analyse insurance data relating to claims, policies, production, renewals and payments to identify trends, risks and business opportunities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to investigate issues such as early policy surrenders, delayed claims and low policy persistency.
• Perform customer sentiment analysis to identify factors that influence customer satisfaction.
• Interpret data and communicate findings that help management understand business performance.
• Identify patterns and potential areas for improvement across insurance operations.

Reporting and Data Visualisation

• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Use DAX, Power Query and M Query to transform data and support reporting requirements.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to retrieve, analyse and prepare data for reporting.
• Convert complex datasets into clear visualisations and actionable business insights.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports for management.
• Present findings with clear explanations of the figures, trends and their implications for the business.

Business Analysis and Strategic Support

• Provide data-backed recommendations to support business planning and decision-making.
• Help identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, strengthen customer loyalty and reduce compliance risks.
• Support data-driven decision-making across strategic business units.
• Analyse business performance and highlight areas requiring management attention.
• Translate business questions and reporting requirements into practical analytical solutions.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with Claims, Underwriting, Customer Service and Finance teams to understand their data and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with business units to define key performance indicators and develop relevant reports.
• Help stakeholders interpret dashboards and understand the insights presented.
• Support teams in using data to monitor performance and address operational challenges.

Data Quality and Reporting Improvement

• Conduct data validation and consistency checks to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability.
• Identify discrepancies that could affect reporting quality and the interpretation of results.
• Improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency, clarity and business relevance.
• Ensure that reports provide reliable information for important business decisions.

Promoting a Data-Driven Culture

• Encourage teams to use analytics when making business decisions.
• Help colleagues understand and interpret data visualisations, reports and performance indicators.
• Promote the use of evidence-based insights rather than assumptions when evaluating business performance.

Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:

• A Higher National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• One to two years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of SQL and Power BI is an advantage.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends and communicate meaningful findings.
• Understanding of data modelling, reporting and data visualisation principles.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with different departments and translate business needs into reporting solutions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Technical Skills
